The LEP Accelerator Foundations – Initially, our main involvement with CERN was in the construction of the LEP accelerator installed in a 27-kilometer circumference tunnel. Following this success, we entered into a Technical Services Contract that we have successfully renewed every 5-10 years after tendering.
2003 – over a five-year period, we assembled 1,250 CERN superconducting cryodipole magnets and 450 quadrupole magnets for the LHC accelerator as lead contractor in a three-company consortium
2018 – ESS Cryomodules Assembly (Saclay): We won a major tender to assemble 31 cryomodules at the CEA site of Saclay for the linear accelerator at the European Spallation Source (ESS). B&S International assumed overall project management responsibility and on-site assembly.
2020 – ATLAS NSW Project: We provided highly specialized technicians for the assembly of the panels of the ATLAS New Small Wheel (NSW) project, working hand-in-hand with the CEA/IRFU team in Saclay.
2022 – CERN Accelerator Systems Division Contract: B&S International won the prestigious industrial services contract for all services for the CERN Accelerator Systems division as the sole contractor. This represents a massive contract of 100 engineers and technicians, introducing completely new ways of working and optimized efficiency.
Since 2023 – we have supported the ITER project with assembly of Feeder Systems and Diagnostics. In 2026, as consortium leader, we were awarded a Fusion for Energy contract to design, install, and test the advanced cryogenic LN₂ distribution systems for ITER.
